Christmas, Just a Start
The beauty in the significance of Jesus’ birth manifests differently over time. The chapters, verses, happenings, and words—all are the same. Yet, the revelation is different. The discovery of beauty and the pinnacle of understanding are refreshing every year.
The birth of Christ is just a beginning, and we are all sure that it is a ground-shaking expression of God’s love towards mankind. However, it cannot be the only reason for today’s celebration. It is only half of the story. I must say, the very reason for Christmas celebration was brought to inauguration by the fulfillment of Christ’s death on the cross, followed by resurrection.
We celebrate the start of his story only because his end was victorious. We celebrate the cry of baby Jesus only because the moans in the end broke the laugh of the enemy forever. We celebrate the start of the fulfillment of promises only because the purpose is met gloriously on the cross.
In other words, we celebrate Christmas only because of Good Friday and Easter.
We all start at Christmas. What if we stop just before Good Friday or Easter? Still, it is a half accomplishment.
The ultimate purpose of God stepping onto earth will be fulfilled only when Man stepping into Heaven happens. If you and I strive for this exchange in full, it is evident that Christ and his sacrifice will be greatly honoured, and that’s how the eternal favour is celebrated truly.
With tears of Joy, Merry Christmas🩵
